BigShort Protocol
BigShort Protocol mechanics, mathematical models, and permission boundaries on Arc, based on the FULL-parameter source code.
Arc · EVM · Protocol Mechanics Manual
BigShort brings Token issuance, curve trading, external liquidity, and short selling with borrowed tokens together into a continuous market lifecycle. This manual explains the protocol's actual business rules and mathematical boundaries from three perspectives: how assets flow, how prices form, and how positions are settled.

FULL Parameters at a Glance
| Dimension | Reference configuration |
|---|---|
| Supply used for curve calculations | 1,000,000,000 Token |
| Curve inventory available for sale | 793,100,000 Token |
| Inventory for migration pairing | 206,900,000 Token |
| Fixed lending budget | 199,861,071 Token |
| Total Token supply | 1,199,861,071 Token |
| Initial virtual reserves | 1,073,000,000 Token / 4,292 USDC |
| Target market capitalization for the risk model | 50,000,000 USDC |
Curve supply is not the total Token supply; virtual USDC is not actual funds already deposited by users; the target market capitalization for the risk model is not a price promise. These distinctions are explained in the respective chapters.
How to Read This Manual
- Mechanics: Describes the rules actually executed by this source-code baseline, without presenting planned features or features from other branches as existing capabilities.
- Mathematical models: Explains variables and their economic meaning first, followed by integer calculations, rounding directions, and numerical examples.
- Risk boundaries: Distinguishes quotes from executions, model budgets from actual inventory, and code tests from mainnet verification.
Position operation limits
Only collateral additions are supported; no separate withdrawal entry point exists for live positions. Partial closes also return no funds to the wallet.
If the latest successful opening or position increase occurs in block N, a partial or full close is possible no earlier than block N+1 and must still pass all other execution checks.
